Abstract :
riate analysis was done based on 19 characters to study the genetic ■ . n : • . ;<!ce among twenty restorer lines. Genotypes were grouped into 4 different • Cluster IV comprised the highest number (nine) of genotypes followed
" ••G;' cluster III which contained seven genotypes or clusters II and I each contained two genotypes. The highest inter genotypic distance (2.535) was observed between genotypes BRRI 12R and PSBRC 82R followed by the distance (2.527) between genotypes BRRI I2R and IR 44675R. The lowest distance (0.566) was observed between genotypes IR 44675R and M.H.77R followed by the distance (0.599) between genotypes BRRI 10R and BRRI HR. The inter cluster distance was higher than the intra cluster distances. The highest inter-cluster distance (22.332) was observed between cluster II and III. The lowest inter-cluster distance (4.669) was observed between cluster I and III followed by the distance (9.705) between cluster III and IV. The intra cluster distance among four clusters was more or less low indicated the genotypes within the same cluster were closely related. Among the agronomic characters, number of panicles per hill (3.2330) and panicle weight (1.1153) were major characters that contribute more to the genetic divergence.
