Abstract :
; restorer lines of hybrid rice were evaluated in order to find out genetic .\y. correlation and path coefficient for floral and yield related traits at the ' ... :.*..-mal farm of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, Gazipur during July to Dumber 2008. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance and genetic advance in percentage of mean were observed for flag leaf area, number of tillers per hill, number of panicles per hill, spikelet sterility percent, 1000 seed weight and grain yield per hill except days to 50% flowering, days to maturity, plant height with moderate genetic advance in percentage of mean. Significant variations were observed among the genotypes in twelve selected characters studied. Minimum difference between genotypic and phenotypic variance, high to moderate heritability and low to high genetic advance and genetic advance in percent of mean were observed for all the traits studied. Days to maturity, flag leaf area, number of tillers per hill, number of filled spikelets per panicle and 1000 seed weight showed high degree of significant correlation with grain yield per hill.
