Effect of mustard oil cake and its method of application on the growth and yield of banana (musa sapientum)

The effects of mustard oil cake @ 0.5 and 1.0 kg per plant in combination with the methods of its application as full doses of MOC in field, full doses in pit and Vi doses in field + 1A in pit on the growth and yield of Amritasagar banana were evaluated. Mustard oil cake applied in pit @1.0 kg/plant was found to be the best for growth and yield of banana with maximum economic benefit and reduced the days to flowering and bunch maturity. Application of full dose of MOC in the pit showed most favourable response in the vegetative growth and yield of banana.
