Three inoculation methods for white tip disease of rice namely seedling base (40 DAS), sheath (50 DAS) and sprout (7 DAS) at two levels of nematode per plant (50 and 100) were studied during 'Aus' and 'T. Aman* season, 1994. All the methods at 100 nematode/plant were effective in relation to population dynamics, symptom expression and reduction of 1000 grain weight and yield. Sheath inoculation was laborious and time consuming among the methods. Base (40 DAS) and sprout (7 DAS) inoculation method were found easy and convenient for different experimental and varietal screening purposes.en_US
