The paper presents a longitudinal analysis of the changes in cropping intensity and adoption of modern technology in Bangladesh based on time series data and presents a spatial analysis of such changes among different regions of Bangladesh. Intensity of cropping, application of chemical fertilizer and expansion of cultivation of high yielding crop varieties have been used as parameters to measure agricultural intensification. The analytical method used in this study is the Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient (rs) to determine such relationship. The correlation studies reveals a positive significant relationship between population growth and agricultural intensification.en_US
