    Abstract
Abstract The study was conducted to investigate thc cffcct of different dates of planting and number of plants pcr hill on plant growth and yield of tomato. The cxpcrimcnt consisted of four dates of planting (October 26, Novcmbcr 11, Novcmbcr 27 and Dcccmbcr 13) and three trcatmcnts regarding the number of plants per hill (one, two and three plants pcr hill). The results rcvcalcd that plant height, numbcr of leaf, flowcr and fruits, and yicld were the maximum in October 26 planting with one plant pcr hill. Total yield of tomato, however, was thc highest (70.22 t/ha) in three plants per hill which was statistically similar to two plants pcr hill.
