Charactcristics of 8 citrus varieties under 4 commercially important groups rcprcscnting 4 spccics wcrc studied. Pummclo fruits wcre largest having thick rind whilc the lime fruits wcrc smallest with very thin rind. Maximum Juice and highest brix wcrc also found In pummclo. Maximum acid obtained In lime and lemon varictlcs (5.3 to 6.2%) while in pummclo and satsuma mandarin the acid content varicd from 0.9 to 1.1%.
