Abstract The morphological variability of 30 vegetable soybean genotypes collected from Ann. Bangladesh Agric. (2018) 22 (2) : 51-57 M. A. Mannan and M. A. A. Mamun ISSN 1025-482X (Print) 2521-5477 (Online) AVRDC were studied at the Department of Agronomy, BSMRAU during December 2016 to February 2017. The experiment was conducted in Randomized complete block design with three replications. Descriptive statistics of days to germination, days to first flowering, plant height, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, days to maturity, number of pods plant-1 and grain yield plant-1 revealed the existence of substantial variation in the collection. The variation among genotypes was much wider in grain yield plant-1 and a narrow range value was found in leaf dry weight plant-1. The first two principal components accounted for 66.5% and 33.5%, respectively, of the total variations of vegetable soybean genotypes. The variation for the first component (PC I) was composed of stem dry weight and leaf dry weight while number of pods plant-1 was positively and highly associated for this variation in PC II. The genotypes were grouped into 4 cluster and cluster IV performed better in most of the characters studied. Considering cluster distance, cluster mean and other agronomic performance the genotype AVSB0903 from cluster IV might be suitable for cultivation in Bangladesh.en_US
