Thc inheritance of days to flowering, plant height, number of fruits per plant and fruit yield pcr plant wcrc studied in the parental, Fl, F2, BCI and BC-2 generations of two crosscs involving thrcc parents. A six-paramctcr model was used to explain thc various gcnctic effects. In Jap x CT 1, the dominance effects were pronounced for days to flowering, plant height and number of fruits pcr plant. The additive x dominance genc effects were predominant for number of fruit per plant, Thc dominance x dominance type of interaction was rclativcly predominant in most of the cases. Hctcrosis wcrc dctcctcd for all the characters studied.
