dc.description.abstractAbstract : The study was attempted to have an understanding about the extent of use of different information sources by the block supervisors (BSs) about HYV Boro rice technologies and to measure the credibility of those information sources as perceived by the BSs. Data were collected from 100 block supervisors randomly selected from four thana (Madaripur Sadar, Razoir, Shibchar and Kalkini) of Madaripur district. Superior office, farm literature and radio were placed first, second and third rank respectively for the extent of use of information sources. In respect of credibility, the BSs perceived superior officer as most credible source followed by scientists, TV and radio. The 11 individual characteristics of the BSs explained 20.44 per cent of variation of credibility of information sources. Where as education and extent of with the farmers had significantly contributed upon the credibility.en_US
