Abstract : The study was carried out at the experimental farm of the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, during April to July, 2005. Six IPM packages comprising mechanical and cultural control with combinations of three promising insecticides e.g.; Sumialpha 5EC, Suntap 50WP and Furdan 5G were tested on a local brinjal variety “Khat khatia”. Treatment 6 consisting of mechanical and cultural control + Suntap 50WP @ 1 g/1 & Sumialpha 5EC @ 1 ml/1 of water at 5% infestation level of brinjal gave the best performance resulting significantly lowest shoot (6%) & fruit (25%) infestation ensured the highest yield (20.96 ton/ha). Treatment 3 comprising single application of Furadan 5G @ 1.5 kg ai/ha + Sumialpha 5EC @ l ml/1 of water at 7 days intervals also gave statistically similar results.en_US
