Abstract : In acid soil of Dinajpur, 4 levels of lime (0, 1, 2 and 3 ton/ha) and 5 levels of P (0, 40, 60, 80 and 100 kg P205/ha from TSP) were tested on soil pH, phosphorus (P) availability and yield of wheat. Application of lime Increased the pH of the soil at crown root initiation (CRI) stage of the crop and that increment in pH was nearly stable up to the harvest of the crop. Available P in the surface and sub-surfface soil was significantly Increased by both liming and application of P. The amelioration effect of acid soils following lime and P application Increased significantly the grain yield of wheat, which was associated with Increased In number of gralns/splke and 1000 grain weight of wheat. Without liming tho yield Increase In wheat was linear due to applied phosphorus from 0 to 100 kg P208/ha but when lime was applied at the rate 2 t/ha, higher yield was obtained with application of 60 kg P20S/ha,en_US
